"At WMST, the teachers recognized that I was a hard working student, and they gave me opportunities as a result, which I appreciated very much. I was able to go to the White House, for example, and the school selected me to go to the Department of Education in Washington and speak with astronauts through a videoconference link. I made the Honor Roll during my senior year, earning a place on the Principal's List, which meant my GPA was 3.5 or greater."
