WMST Launches Positive Behavior Support Program
With the help of several dedicated faculty members, Washington Math Science Technology (WMST) Public Charter High School has launched a new initiative to aid in promoting positive behavior. “iPANTHER" was designed to aid our students in exemplifying five core values:
- Character – the ability to do what is right, even when no one is looking
- Integrity – the ability to be honest in word and deed
- Honesty – the ability to make truth your most valued attribute
- Service – the ability to give back to your school, one another and your community
- Excellence – the ability to be motivated with a focus on self-improvement
Faculty and staff members will acknowledge a student for demonstrating any one of the core values. While all winners are acknowledged, the school will conduct weekly drawings by grade level for the weekly grand prize. Winners are then placed into the monthly grand prize drawing. Prizes range from iTunes gift cards, movie passes to iPods and their accessories.
