WMST listed as a top DC high school in U.S. News & World Report

Washington Math Science Technology Public Charter High School (WMST PCHS) is listed by U.S. News & World Report as a “Bronze Medal” high school in its annual Top High Schools ranking in the December 9, 2009 issue. WMST was one of four DC high schools to make the list.

WMST PCHS achieved a score of 35.8 in the Disadvantaged Students Performance Gap, a measure of the difference between WMST's disadvantaged students proficiency scores and the District of Columbia's disadvantaged students proficiency scores.

WMST PCHS's Poverty-Adjusted Performance Index is 1.54, according to U.S. News & World Report, which measures the distance between statistically expected performance, using the relationship between poverty and the state performance index. Only values of 1 or greater meet U.S. News & World Report's selection criteria.
